We may run a website anonymously to enhance our security. We are talking about operating a website over Clearnet i.e. there will be a domain name, a DNS, a web server and an IP. The web services which help to operate a website anonymously are mostly for minimising the attack vectors in various ways. In the case of a professional or business website, we can not use WHOIS privacy for marketing purpose. It is meaningless for our blog (which is attached to a media consultancy) to use WHOIS privacy. A web search with “The Customize Windows” will reveal 50% about me. I ignore the risks.
A targeted attacker like a terrorist will not run behind me just because I can make a circuit responding with a particular smartwatch. As because these services of clearnet entirely rely on the persons, not exactly the technology, I think it is as if relying upon a random brother of Shylock. Tor system, including .onion domains (which includes the Dark Web, Dark Web is a part of the Deep Web) are technically safer “domains”.
