WordPress Schema.org Plugins are still far away from being even closer to ideal. With the ongoing tendency of WordPress development, it is quite normal. It is not because of the role of Matt Mullenweg, but because of the mass volunteers. Many earns money, how many donates such huge money behind Apache, Free Software Foundation ? WordPress definitely needs a forking to create another ‘distro’ like we have seen in Linux.

WordPress Schema.org Plugins – we actually wrote about before in Schema.org WordPress Plugin and Advanced Tricks. Since October 2012 there has been very little progress. The plugin about we wrote (itemprop WP for SERP/SEO Rich snippets) was better in 3.1 (or lesser version) than it is tending towards. This tending of WordPress Plugins is well known. Schema.org is a big topic.
Now there are many WordPress Schema.org Plugins, more leaned towards grayhat SEO than really be an ultimate solution. Do not forget, it is basically WordPress plugins, for which Google had to discontinue to give importance to meta description to some extent and meta keywords to full. WordPress Schema.org Plugins becoming a way to fetch traffic somehow than to represent the content of the website.

We are in the problem of Big Data. WordPress practically adding a big issue from the image thumbnails. Without the help of Schema, in 2020, it will be impossible for the most advanced search engine – Google, to properly index and show results. Sufferer will be an excellent Author, who has less to do with plugin tweaking; not all can tweak plugins or even modifying the software.
The current way of ‘including everything’ in SEO plugins is not right. It increases the required time to crawl. Google currently supports rich snippets for people, events, reviews, products, recipes, and breadcrumb navigation. All has subcategories. WordPress database somehow runs with MySQL not even MySQLi.
With current complicated condition of WordPress, implementation of all points of Schema.org will create a huge delay in page loading speed. We pointed towards Forum Software XenForo, if it can be made Free Software; a real development with faster loading webpages can be implemented. As XenForo is not Free Software, combining WordPress excellent functions and excellent usage of Zend platform is not possible for free. Obviously there is Google’s tool. But it still can not verify all Schema but will support all in future.
