Retro Style IBM ASCII Logo For Cloud Server SSH Pre-Login

Previous we published few ASCII logos – one for Red Hat OpenShift, another was for HP Cloud. In this Article Here is Ready to Use Retro Style IBM ASCII Logo For Cloud Server SSH Pre-Login and Other Developmental Works. We have included text file & shebang script. Quite obviously, this is an intellectual property of IBM company. This is a community development for decoration purpose only. Also, it can be used on dedicated servers but usually we configure dedicated server in different way to keep the public IP’s SSH port closed.

Editing is fully up to the user, we have added a Shebang Script (Shell Script) for preview. We have not added the color because it can be used different programming languages. For local or remote testing or usage, simply use :

How To Use For SSH Pre-Login Screen?

 

The exact steps are somewhat distro specific and we have separate tutorials on How Add SSH Message Before Login.

You can not add colours to SSH Pre login Screen. The linked article was for pre-login, before the interactive shell started, that was a gateway to sniff what scripts you kept on your server. On official Debian Wiki, it is written – “Debian has a peculiar way of handling /etc/motd”, that peculiar now changed a bit more and you can not do whatever you want unless you are compiling the GNU/Linux yourself”.
